Mount Talamitam in Nasugbu, Batangas was our year end climb of 2016. Even if, we were only three, our climb was refreshing and chill. Our itinerary were planned for three days but due to typhoon Nina, our climb were moved to two days. Our trek were started 02:30 in the afternoon and we reached the summit about 05:30 PM. It was a perfect time to trek because the sun were not too hot and a cold weather waiting for us in the summit. Unexpected, only two groups, one with us were spent camping in the summit and it was a solemn night. We prepared nilagang baboy as our menu for dinner and it was taste perfect together with white rice ( we often used brown rice). Unfortunately, bad thing happened to our tent, TNF. We were attack by field mice. Our tent was pierced, an area of two inches and our colleague felt angry and had a tendency to revenged but I stop him because there were a tendency that mice will revenge also. We forgot to bring out anchovy (dilis) and rice inside the tent that is why field mice exploited to attack. Around 9:30 in the morning, we start to trek Mount Apayang, a twenty minutes of trekking from Mount Talamitam. A 360 degrees view, Mount Batulao, Mount Maculot and Pico de loro can be seen in the summit of Mount Apayang. We do a back trail when started to descent and having a sidetrip to Layong Bato river. We spent our lunch there, having a bulalo as our dish that we ordered near the river, I don't remember the name of her karinderya. Wait, I almost forgot our guide, maglola (di ko alam englis nyan. hehehe), they helped us to carry six liters of water and some foods till summit.
