New Year climb

It's been a long ride to reached Mount Daguldol in San Juan, Batangas. We spent for almost five hours and we felt sleep through our trip. We had our lunch in San Juan, bought some foods and water before we proceed to Barangay Hugom. Around two o'clock in the afternoon, we reach the registration hall. Laiya Resorts were passable and many people were having their vacation especially swimming. We had to ride a trike to make it to the jump off and we noticed that road are being developed and some mountain were demolished. It was wistful for us and to other hikers observing the mountain were being smash and eradicate. We started to trek around two o'clock in the afternoon, the trail were establish orderly and some part of the route are rockies. Mount Daguldol was known to be a good training ground for major climb because of its long assault trail. Our friend Carl, he knows that this was a chill climb but unfortunately not. We had plenty of take five, maybe more than ten times but it helps also our knee to avoid pry and spasm. Night overtook us on the trail so we had prepare our headlights and it took four hours before reaching the summit. We having argued where to pitch our tent and it's difficult to find a place because of animal manure scatter in the camp site. The ground are also muddy and soft, not much of flat land to pitch. We prepared tinolang manok to our dinner, fried some hotdogs, and dinakdakan (from San Juan karinderya). Our table and plates were banana leaf that we got in the middle of the trail, and this is it, boodle fight. After dinner, its time for socials and drinking session. Emperador brandy was our answered to a cold night together with pringles, hotdog, dinakdakan as our appetizer (pulutan). A bad morning happened to us, we didn't find one kilo of meat that was placed in lock en lock and we continue seeking until I found the lock en lock empty and had beaten by dog. There was plenty of dog in the campsite and it was our fault, we forgot to secure our foods. Good thing was we have left over food; hotdogs, tocino, tinolang manok and we survive our breakfast. Around ten o'clock in the morning, we had our break camp and we continue to proceed the summit. The summit were alluring, it can accommodate up to twenty tent and the elegant view of the sea noticeable at the peak. We have our side trip at Naambon falls, the water was clean and chilled. As we continued to descent, we reached Narsing house, got some rest, and ordered buko fresh for only 20 pesos. Around five o'clock in the afternoon we reach Laiya beach resort and tidy up. We had no time to swim because its too late, a long way to go home. The good news is, we recognized Sir Bong (owner of the rented van) who accompanied us to Lipa bus terminal.
